Citrepel process gains US Patent
The invention of Citrepel 75 and the method of production through which we produce para-menthane-3,8-diol in relatively high yield and in a liquid state has been patented in the United States.
It covers our unique production process to deliver a liquid grade of p-menthane-3,8-diol suitable for use as an insect repellent through a simple low-cost method. The process also provides a high concentration composition with improved efficacy compared to conventional p-menthane-3,8-diol compositions.
The end product contains controlled amounts of inactive by-products and is suitable for use as the basis for an insect repellent. Details of the patent can be seen here.
The patent covers Citrepel 75 to November 2031.
